Over the course of three months in 2011, I hosted an online live-video broadcast called Realistic Minisette-Live. Playing with ideas of what an avatar could be, I hosted the show as a personality I made up named Venus M. Avalos. I hosted three episodes of the show using the online video broadcasting service Justin.tv. The show featured live streaming footage of music played on an old cassette tape player. With this work I am interested in using new technology to look at old technology, and how the form of online streaming video can be used to make and exhibit art. The broadcasts were viewed by over 100 Justin.tv community members.
